I Remember

I can’t feel your love when I look at the moon,
or your touch on a warm summer breeze.
I can’t hear your voice in the songs the birds sing
nor see your face when I gaze at the sea
But I Remember …

No more “Honey I’m home” as you open the door,
no bursts of laughter at some silly thing,
Gone is the knowledge that somebody cares...
and the comfort, just knowing that… brings
But I Remember …

The Essence of you is now gone from my life
like the sand washed away by the tide
Our time together has ended too soon,
leaving me empty inside.

But I Remember … oh yes… I Remember.
